James S. Cable, Ph.D. - Chief Executive Officer
James S. Cable, Ph.D., serves as Peregrine’s Chief Executive Officer, and has held positions as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Technology and Engineering since joining Peregrine in 1996. Dr. Cable has over 25 years of experience in semiconductor research, development and production, including Technology and Manufacturing Operations management for Hughes Microelectronics Center and Hughes Technology Center; and Technology Integration management at TRW. Dr. Cable received his B.S. from the University of California at Riverside and his Ph.D. from UCLA.
Craig Ensley – President and Chief Operating Officer
Craig H. Ensley joined Peregrine in 2006 as Peregrine’s President and Chief Operating Officer with 30 years of broad experience in the semiconductor and systems technology industries, spanning venture capital start-ups to multi-hundred-million dollar public corporations including Crystal Semiconductor, Rockwell International, and Cirrus Logic. Mr. Ensley brings to Peregrine a strong vision for disruptive semiconductor technology, a deep strategic and product planning background and extensive knowledge in executing high-growth businesses. He has an M.B.A. from Stanford University and B.S. degrees in both Applied Physics and Economics from UCSD.
Philip Chapman - Chief Financial Officer
Philip Chapman joined Peregrine in 2003 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Chapman served as CFO and later as President and CEO of OMM Inc., a MEMS-based optical switch manufacturer. Prior to OMM, Mr. Chapman was CFO of Microchip Technology Inc., where he guided the company through a successful initial public offering and subsequent 10x growth in revenue. Mr. Chapman brings to Peregrine more than 20 years of financial experience in a variety of high technology firms. Mr. Chapman has B.A. degrees in Accounting and in Managerial Finance from the University of California, and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Management.
Mark Burgener - Vice President of Advanced Products
Mark Burgener, Ph.D., a Peregrine co-founder, serves as Vice President of Advanced Products. His group is active in the development of future product technology and is responsible for the timely and smooth transition from development to production. Dr. Burgener has a PhD in Physics and is principal and co-author of numerous patents and papers. In the early years of Peregrine he was instrumental in the development of the UltraCMOS technology.
Brian Hurst - Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Brian Hurst joined Peregrine in 2005 as V.P., Worldwide Sales with more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience including executive positions at industry leaders Cyrix and Transmeta Corporation, as well as National Semiconductor, Intel, and Anadigics. He has extensive knowledge in developing strategic sales relationships with top tier electronics OEMs and possesses a strong background in establishing marketing alliances with semiconductor industry leaders. Mr. Hurst has an executive graduate degree in international marketing from Southern Methodist University and a B.S. degree in Marketing from the University of Texas.
Chandra Kantamneni - Vice President, Fab. Operations and General Manager Peregrine Australia
Chandra Kantamneni joined Peregrine in September, 2003 with more than 20 years of experience in Fab Operations and Engineering in the semiconductor industry, including Foundry Operations and Engineering management for International Rectifier and Fab management with National Semiconductor Corporation in Santa Clara. Previously, Mr. Kantamneni worked at TRW and Control Data Corporation (Later VTC Corp.) in Process Engineering Management. Mr. Kantamneni holds a M.S. in Physics from Andhra University, India and an M.S. in Materials Science and an Executive MBA from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Gene Lyons - Vice President of Quality Systems
Gene Lyons is responsible for Peregrine’s Quality Management System. Mr. Lyons joined Peregrine in October 1996 and has held several positions at Peregrine including Director of Product Development, VP of Strategic Programs and most recently VP of Quality Systems. He has over 20 years experience in the electronics industry, the last 12 of which in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Peregrine Mr. Lyons held various senior device engineering and reliability engineering positions at Brooktree Corporation and Unisys. Mr. Lyons received his B.S. degree in Electrical Technology from Chapman University.
Anthony Maruko - Vice President of Peregrine Japan
Anthony Maruko joined Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation in April 2001 as Vice President of Peregrine Semiconductor K.K. in Japan. Prior to joining Peregrine, Mr. Maruko worked at Intel as Sales and Marketing Director of Communication and Embedded Silicon Sales Group. Throughout his 17 years at Intel, he was responsible for generating new strategic business at major OEM manufactures and launching Intel's retail business group in Japan. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Communication Engineering from the University of Tohoku located in Sendai, Japan.
Mark Miscione - Vice President of Manufacturing Operations
Mark Miscione is responsible for Peregrine’s overall Manufacturing Operations including Fab Operations, Process Technology and Product Assembly & Test. During his 22-year career prior to joining Peregrine, Mr. Miscione worked for Motorola's Networking Computing Systems Group supporting stand-alone and embedded Power PC processors, network communications processors and clock driver products, and managing yield enhancement and technology transfer efforts. Previously, he worked for TRW Electronics, Systems and Technology Group in technology transfer and program management of a 0.5µm CMOS wafer scale signal processor. Mr. Miscione received a B.S. degree in Physics and Mathematics from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1979.
Dan Nobbe - Vice President of Engineering
Dan Nobbe is responsible for overall Product Design and Product Development. He joined Peregrine in 2000 as Director of Product Design. Mr. Nobbe’s RF and IC design career spans 15 years. Before joining Peregrine, Dan had an extensive career at Motorola where he designed RF integrated circuits for cellular handsets as well as designing products for cellular infrastructure, two-way radios, and cellular handsets. He also designed paging infrastructure equipment for Glenayre Electronics. Dan holds received his BSEE degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla and MSEE degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Dan has been awarded 3 patents and has 3 patents pending. He also has authored 3 technical papers in the areas of integrated circuits and GPS IC design. Dan is a member of the Technical Program Committee for the annual RFIC conference.
Rodd Novak - Vice President of Marketing
Rodd Novak is responsible for the design and execution of Peregrine's global product marketing strategy and directs the company's strategic business development activities. Since joining Peregrine in 2002, Mr. Novak has contributed to the Company’s focus on the RF wireless and broadband markets. Prior to joining Peregrine Semiconductor, he served as corporate marketing manager for CTS Corporation and as an electrical engineer at Westinghouse Corporation, and later moved to a marketing role with the commercial business unit of its subsidiary, Xetron Corporation. Mr. Novak holds a BSEE degree from the University of Cincinnati and and MBA from Xavier University.
Ronald Reedy - Vice President and Chief Technical Officer and Director
Ronald E. Reedy, Ph.D., a Peregrine co-founder, serves as Chief Technical Officer and Vice President of Space and Defense Sales. Previously, Dr. Reedy led the microelectronics division at Navy Research and Development (NRaD) and was engaged in fiber communications and photonic systems R&D. He is a co-inventor of UltraCMOS technology and has over 20 years experience in semiconductor R&D. He received his B.S. from the US Naval Academy and his Ph.D. from University of California at San Diego.
Ian Warbrick - Vice President, Supply Chain and Customer Service
Ian Warbrick joined Peregrine’s senior management team as vice-president, supply chain and customer service in 2008. Warbrick will take on the newly created Peregrine role with a charter to develop world-class production planning, communications and delivery systems for Peregrine. Previously, he was vice-president & general manager of International Rectifier’s Power Semiconductor Business Unit, where he was responsible for re-engineering the global IR supply chain systems. In other International Rectifier positions spanning 10 years, Mr. Warbrick was appointed CEO of IR-SA, a joint venture with Sanyo Semiconductor, and he was responsible for global planning, material procurement, finished goods supply chain and logistics for the company’s interdependent manufacturing sites. He also managed multiple wafer foundries and several back-end semiconductor assembly/test facilities and held a variety of financial management positions responsible for expansion and MRP. Prior to International Rectifier, Ian Warbrick held financial positions for UNISYS Corporation including Financial Controller for two manufacturing operations in the UK. Mr. Warbrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business from Southampton University in the United Kingdom. His formal training includes Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, FMEA and Six Sigma Quality.
